Choices Large

Here are two interesting choices for you tonight, both benefit shows.  In Brooklyn Heights, at 7:30pm, the Sirens of Brooklyn Choir will be singing Christmas carols and other holiday songs at the historic Plymouth Church Brooklyn. This choir, which has been around for a while is made up of New York based indie songstresses.  In past years the music on the menu included Christmas traditionals, Hebrew and French folk songs and pop songs re-imagined for acappella voice and more.  Tickets are $15 and all proceeds go to the EPCAT-USA, a non-profit whose mission is to end human trafficking and slavery.

Back in Greenwich Village, Leave A Lasting Mark will be presenting their 4th annual tribute to The Band and their epic farewell show. This tribute to The Last Waltz will benefit Food for Life at Tompkins Square Park, and will feature  Chris Anderson, John Brodeur, Mya Byrne, Bryan Dunn, Rebecca Haviland, Chris Hiatt, Steve Himmelstein, David Kantor, Tommy Lombardozzi, Joe Marson, David Farrell Melton, Mark Radcliffe, Amy Rivard, Jason Spiewak, Scott Stein, Kate Steinberg, Nate Walker, Blake Whyte, Scott Wolfson and more.  The show is at The Bitter End and will get going at 7pm.
